| These databases are the result of
long-term monitoring begun in 1993 to the present. The National
Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) Program has continued the
support of the North Inlet-Winyah Bay (NIWB) monitoring. Each
core database and its variables are listed below. |
- nitrogen (total whole, total filtered, ammonia,
nitrate-nitrite)
- phosphorus (total whole, total filtered, orthophosphate)
- organic carbon (dissolved)
- total suspended sediment
- inorganic suspended sediment
- organic suspended sediment
- chlorophyll a
Water quality parameters measured at the same time the water
sample was taken:
- salinity
- tidal state
Ancillary data & images
- Sediment (water) color
- "Triplicate" water sample data (known as Grab Samples)
- Collection site photographs
|
- water temperature
- water conductivity, salinity
- dissolved oxygen, % saturation
- pH
- turbidity
|
- air temperature
- wind direction and speed
- barometric pressure
- relative humidity
- solar radiation
- rain

- Rain by event (start day/time & end day/time) in inches and
millimeters
- Total monthly rain by year in inches and millimeters (summary data)
- Total annual rain by year in inches and millimeters (summary data)
