This link will connect you to the web presentation maintained by the Baruch Institute in support of the NOAA-funded USES project. The NOAA/USES research program compares anthropogenic and physiographic impacts between the relatively pristine North Inlet Estuary and the heavily urbanized Murrells Inlet Estuary 20 miles to the north. Data layers include:

  • Bathymetry
  • Topography
  • Hydrography
  • Tides
  • Land use and land cover
  • Water quality and concentrations
  • Natant fauna
  • Wetlands productivity
  • Shellfish
